In total, over a million points have been up for grabs for its members as part of various competitions and campaigns.

On 20 SAS flights yesterday customers onboard competed to win 20,000 EuroBonus points, hotel nights at Scandic and car rental from Sixt. Two of these flights were operated by SAS subsidiary Blue1. More than 8000 suggestions on how to celebrate its 20 year anniversary have come directly from EuroBonus members, many of which will be used for the onboard celebrations.
More than 100,000 members have been active since the launch, of which 2500 have retained a Gold status every year.
EuroBonus’ millionth member joined in 1997 and this year the third million member is expected to join. Anders is the most common name amongst Swedish members, whilst it is Peter in Denmark and Bjørn in Norway.
The most popular use of EuroBonus is to redeem points for is flights, hotel stays and upgrades. Favoured destinations amongst EuroBonus members is New York, followed by Copenhagen, London, Paris, Rome and Nice. Of all award bookings, 80% are made online.
