Air China to lease new Boeing and Airbus aircraft

Air Lease Corporation has confirmed that it has entered into 12 year long term aircraft lease agreements with Air China.

This leases agreement is for 13 new jet aircraft, delivered in 2013 and 2014, These new additions to the Air China lease will be made up of nine new Boeing 737-800 aircraft and four  new Airbus A321-200 aircraft.

 “We have worked closely with the management of Air China to provide new and efficient aircraft to optimize their future fleet. Our deal with Air China demonstrates that our airline customers value ALC as an advisor and resource when planning the growth and replacement of their fleets,” said Jie Chen, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Asia.

This is one of ALC’s largest lease placements. Launched in 2010 this aircraft leasing company, based in Los Angeles, California has airline customers throughout the world but is certainly increasing its presence in the Asian market.

The company purchases commercial aircraft and leases them to its airline partners worldwide through customised aircraft leasing and financing solutions.

ALC has also delivered two new A330-200 aircraft to Air China on long term leases during the second half of 2011.
