It has taken a while but finally Virgin Atlantic have finally upgraded their Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow 747 fleet to match the cabins on their Heathrow aircraft.

Since April they have spent the last six months re-fitting all of its Boeing 747 fleet which fly out of London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow at a cost of more than £50 million.

Virgin call it the ‘ultimate spring clean‘ but has been a long awaited refit. The  requiring 125 project staff from start to finish working over 95,000 hours to fit over 32,000 new parts.

The airline have introduced a more comfortable, better designed seat in economy. Now available in red or grey and on the upper deck! Passengers can now experience their brand new JAM entertainment system with over 300 hours of on demand entertainment.
